Here are five of our favourite dog walks near High Farm Holiday Park, featuring a mix of shorter strolls and longer countryside adventures.

Walk time: Around 2-3 hours
A favourite with locals and visitors alike, Beverley Westwood is a beautiful open common just outside the town centre. With wide grassy paths, grazing cattle, and panoramic views over Beverley, it’s ideal for an easy-going dog walk.
Dogs will love roaming around in this expansive open space, while owners can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and nearby historic sites, including views towards Beverley Minster.
After your walk, head into Beverley town centre where you’ll find several dog-friendly cafés. The Dog & Duck and The Potting Shed are just two of the many popular spots for coffee, lunch, and water bowls for thirsty pups.
Distance: Approx. 1-1.5 miles
Walk time: Around 30-60 minutes
Just a short drive from High Farm Holiday Park, Millington Woods offers a lovely mix of woodland paths and gentle countryside scenery. This route winds through shaded woodland and quiet country lanes, making it especially pleasant during warmer months.
The peaceful surroundings are perfect for dogs who enjoy sniffing trails and exploring nature at a slower pace.
Nearby, The Gait Inn at Millington is a welcoming country pub where dogs are welcome in designated areas - perfect for a relaxed post-walk drink or hearty pub lunch.

For a gentler waterside stroll, the Beverley Beck route is ideal. Following the peaceful path along the canal, this walk offers a calm and easy route suitable for all ages and abilities.
You’ll often spot narrowboats, wildlife, and ducks along the way, while dogs can enjoy plenty of interesting scents and open stretches.
The walk can easily be extended into Beverley town centre if you fancy stopping for refreshments afterwards.
4. Yorkshire Wolds Way - Goodmanham to Millington
Distance: Approx. 8 miles
Walk time: 3-4 hours
If you and your dog enjoy a proper countryside adventure, this stretch of the Yorkshire Wolds Way is well worth exploring. Rolling hills, quiet chalk valleys, and far-reaching views make this one of the most scenic walks in East Yorkshire.
The route between Goodmanham and Millington offers a rewarding mix of open countryside and peaceful tracks, with plenty of opportunities for rest stops along the way.
At the end of the walk, The Gait Inn in Millington makes an excellent dog-friendly refreshment stop before heading back to High Farm.
5. North Cliffe Woods Circular

Walk time: 2.5-3 hours
Nature lovers will enjoy this peaceful woodland and countryside circular near North Cliffe. The route combines quiet forest trails, open farmland, and beautiful seasonal scenery, especially during autumn and spring.
It’s a fantastic walk for dogs who enjoy varied terrain and longer explorations away from busy roads and crowds.
Afterwards, nearby village pubs offer the perfect opportunity to relax with a well-earned meal and drink.
